Recently i got an adjustment about my affraidness writing in a blog, i got a nice article from CIO, Think Before You Blog. I worried about this blogging activity could result bad thing in office since blog is related with personal opinion from some one.

Well i have my own strategy about this, that i should remove all the personal related with someone opinion out of my blog, and my blog will used as online article repository only.

"Nope" i straight forward looking for others Bajaj
"Ok sir, 5000"

Unbelieveable, i win the negotiation in the first offering. Usually, the bargaining its over after 2 or 3 offering, so the price is about 6000 or even 7000. But i could win in 5000. Maybe its because its still morning, the Bajaj is come out from the 'pangkalan'. But after the Bajaj run, i lost my bargaining power because i didnt know exactly where is the Agus Salim street. And the bargaining power  getting more and more weak since i go the Pertamina. And the Bajaj know that people that work or deal with the Pertamina is rich :(

Lesson for today, be very carefull when bargaining with the 'price based negotiation' transportation such as Bajaj or Ojek, or even Black Taxi. Dont look 'didnt understand' the direction or look unfamiliar. But what ever it is, is still cheaper then using Taxi. How luck i am.

Yesterday, i've 'incidental' appointment with Wulan my college junior -ex i mean, because she's already graduate last year- in Pasar Festifal. Its really a 'have no preparation' meeting, because she is inform me in the late afternoon, after i decide to go to my sister house in Menteng. But thats Ok i think, because Pasar Festifal is only 100M from my boarding kost in Pedurenan Masjid, just cross the 'jembatan penyebrangan' then you can see Pasar Festifal from there.

Pasar Festifal also known as PasFest, several years ago was very popular in kuningan. Its because Carrefour, one hypermarket was operate there but now move to ITC kuningan and after that PasFest no longer popular. I didnt know its true or not, but many people said like that. PasFest is located on Jalan HR Rasuna Said.  HR mean Hajjah Rangkayo, yeah its woman and Sukarno is really proud with her and named this street where most of embassy office lay here.

PasFest is a complex of sport area, just like Senayan, but not as big as senayan. Have a swimming pool, a football, indoor sport hall (for basket, volley, even dancing competition). For music performance during friday night or even for mild concert like Kerispatih (if im not wrong) but of course not for international performance such as Linkin Park or Java Jazz.

PasFest surrounded by many tall building such as Sentra Mulia where many Oil & Gas company such Schlumberger operates here, many apartement such as Taman Rasuna, and several that will be built, a luxury MMC Hospital where Megawati, Taufik Effendi and many public figure from politician into artist have a medical treatment here. Please dont ask if you prescription (is the spelling correct) for cold drugs. My friend experience said its about 300.000 rupiah for that drugs and doctor.

Compare to the Plaza Semanggi, one of the biggest Mall in Jakarta who always do a campaign to ensuring people that its the best meeting point. I think PasFest is give better offering for meeting then in Plaza Semanggi. The cheaper price absolutely, the easiest access for young professional like me (i dont have other vocab than professional) who live in boarding house and didnt have own transportation. Hey, dont underestimated this SES (socio economy status) if the company or shop manage this seriously i think the market is still very large.

What is luck? luck is something that we cant predict.

And i also met many kind of human thats enrichen my life, that even there is a very cruel person, there always be a honest one :)

Today is my first day engagement at Pertamina, actually there were a lot of unique behind the story of Pertamina and the auditing it self. But i think i dont want share it with you because it is my professional code of conduct which i should only keep the information in the client by my self. Cool huh? well i dont think so, i just IT auditor so i didnt involve with something like financial leakage, corruption, money laundering and so on and so on. So dont ask me but financial something related with my client, i dont know that. Well, maybe some little bit i know, from my friend :D which financial audit team.

Pertamina, is our state corporation who have major business in oil distribution and exploration within this country. I cant say for sure where is pertamina position within BPMIGAS, and other PSC (production sharing contract) with Exxon, Chevron, BP, Conoco etc.

Again, today experience teach me that life is just a simple game which in extreme statement, life is just a gambling. But dont judge me a pesimist one, i have this inspiration since today i feel very-very lucky running my daily life. So this just a statement for me that we can't run from what we called 'destiny'.

We are a human, have a limitation about everything. From the easiest thing such as choosing the bus from office to client (this morning 'journey' takes me a with 4 different bus way) until the very complicated thing such as romance, working, relationship, health or death.

Regarding this, -dont know why- if you think its very easy and didnt have any scientifical proven research. I think i found the secret of happiness in my life, secret to remove the nervousness (what is kecemasan in english) facing this life. Alhamdulilah, at least for next 1 year ahead, i'll never write sad story again, i'll always happy and bersemangat :)

Hampir 4 menit waktu yang diperlukan untuk 1 query terhadap sebuah database Microsoft Access. Database ini berisi table-table user pada sebuah sistem SAP. Proses query dilakukan di laptop Dell Latitude 1 Ghz dengan 256MB RAM. Minim sekali bukan, ini pun sudah dengan mengurangi aplikasi-aplikasi lain yang dijalankan. Sehingga tinggal tersisa, Yahoo Messenger, Sametime dan sebuah notepad.

Sametime wajib, karena ini adalah internal software untuk instant messaging. YM hampir wajib karena ada banyak pertanyaan tentang konfigurasi Oracle yang belum terjawab (teman-temanku akan membalas lewat YM itu). Dan Notepad untuk mencatat segala perubahan yang terjadi, sambil menuangkan ide-ide menulis. Praktis bukan.

Ini pun sudah dua kali aku pastikan dengan menggunakan stopwatch (konvensial tapi terbukti efektif) bahwa kinerja pemrosesan tidak terlalu terganggu dengan 3 software yang berjalan disela-sela proses query.

Beberapa hari muncul permasalahan kecil tentang command
SELECT * FROM DBA_USERS
logikanya, query tersebut akan menghasilkan list nama-nama database admin, atau kalau di unix dikenal dengan root-nya. Namun dari beberapa pendapat yang beredar ternyata ada perbedaan. Ada yang mengatakan itu command untuk admin ada pula yang mengatakan itu untuk user biasa. Sampai akhirnya, ada seorang DBA yang memberikan pencerahan mengenai command tersebut dan bagaimana cara mencari list admin di Oracle yaitu dengan
SELECT * FROM DBA_ROLE_PRIVS WHERE GRANTED_ROLE = 'DBA'

Kasus sederhana dan pemecahannya pun sederhana. Tapi proses pencariannya ternyata sangatlah mengasyikkan. Dari memburu para DBA yang pernah kukenal hingga menghubungi 'helpdesk' kantor di US sana.

Cerita ini mengingatkanku pada masa-masa kuliah, tentang mengasyikkannya memburu satu command untuk membuka Interbase, yang akan dipakai untuk aplikasi Delphi. Waktu itu kami membuat kerja kelompok dengan mengundang Topan Berliana, senior kami dikampus untuk menjelaskan command tersebut.

Kejadian ini membuatku semakin tertarik mempelajari tentang Oracle. Dulu pernah kami mencoba menginstall Oracle di komputer kampus. Waktu itu ada program Oracle Initiative Campus yang menyediakan banyak resource mengenai Oracle. Sayangnya program ini terhenti selain karena spec komputer desktop yang jelas-jelas tidak mumpuni untuk diinstal database sekelas Oracle.
